Wednesday, June 06, 2018

The gallant national Women Scorpions will today square-off with the Super Falcons of Nigeria in the first leg of the crucial 2018 African women cup of nation’s qualifiers (AWCON) to be host in Ghana.

The most awaited women football showpiece is expected to bring hundreds of football enthusiasts to the Independence Stadium tonight to cheer up the Queen Scorpions as they return in their biggest encounter with the most successful women football team in the continent.

The team commenced camping last Friday at the Independence Stadium in Bakau,  following their two international friendly home defeats over their West African opponents Mali two weeks ago.

Coach Mariama Bom Sowe and her technical side will have to use the two previous friendly defeats to their neighbors Mali to build a formidable team for the most awaited women football clash against the Super Falcons today.

The queen Scorpions will be completing the second leg of the qualifier clash in Lagos on Monday 11th June at Agege Stadium.
