Theft Lands Man in Trouble

One Bakary Keita, of SalagiVillage, was on Monday arraigned before Brikama Magistrates' Court presided over by Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh accused of stealing contrary to section 252 of the criminal code.

According to the particulars of the offence, on or about the 13thDecember 2008 at Salagi village, the accused Bakary Keita stole from one Abdoulie Drammeh, 25 pillars of iron rope valued at D7, 500, one wheelbarrow valued at D1, 500 bringing to D9, 200 the total value of property belonging to Abdoulie Drammeh which was stolen.

When the charge sheet was read to him, he pleaded not guilty.

At that juncture the case was adjourned to 13thJanuary 2009 for the trail
