Taranga Motorcycle riders visit Gambia

As the 2018 tourist season is booming, a number of motorcycle riders from Taranga Motorcycle Riders Club, over the weekend arrived in the country from Senegal as part of their activities to promote tourism in the destination.

They were received at the Senegalese border community of Amdalie by officials of The Gambia Tourism Board (GTB).

Speaking to journalists shortly after the arrival of the team at Coral Hotel in Brufut, GTBoard communication officer Ousman Kebbeh said the riders’ visit meant a lot to the tourism sector saying that, Taranga Motorcycle Riders club were here last year with big numbers but this year they came with few.

“All this is geared to promote tourism. This is what will cement the relationship between The Gambia and Senegal,” he said.

Gonga Dore, president of Taranga Motorcycle Riders club thanked the government of The Gambia through the Tourism Ministry and The Gambia Tourism Board for the warm welcome.

He said the journey was great because they had a very nice escort which was wonderful and exciting.
