Tambedou assault propels Lamin Utd to Lamin Super cup

Prolific striker Baboucarr Tambedou’s 29th minute strike has inspired Lamin United to the 2018 Lamin Super cup title.

They defeated Jatta’s FC 1-0 in a well-attended final played at the late Sanna Jatta Memorial Football Field in Lamin. The match was graced by significant dignitaries including former FIFA and CAF referee Lamin Camara and task Force Committee chairman Yaya Manneh.

Striker Baboucarr Tambedou’s lone goal was enough to secure Lamin wet season biggest football gala traditional season opener title.

Saikou Janko nearly leveled matters for Jatta’s FC after the interval after slashing through Lamin United FC’s defence but his effort was denied by the goalkeeper.

Thus the game ended 1-0 in favour of Lamin United FC.

The kick off was taken by Adu boys of Bakau Sports Committee.
