In its bid to promote cultural exchange between The Gambia and the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Embassy of Taiwan has set up a series of culture programmes at the Taiwan Culture Centre (TCC) at the GNPC service station in Fajara.

A media dispatch from the ROC embassy reveals that the programme will be held once every two and half months.

“The coming course will be from 17 September to 30 November this year,” it stated. “The culture programmes of the TCC include basic Chinese, advanced Chinese, singing Chinese songs, watching films and public-speaking in Chinese, etc and for those who are interested in learning Chinese language.”

It also stated that the course of handicraft arts is scheduled particularly for women groups, though it is conducted by invitation.

It added: “All courses at the TCC are free of charge. Owing to limited space for the course, applicants are required to register at the TCC before 7 September. TCC open hours: 12:00-20:00.”

Meanwhile, the release added, those interested in enrolling for all the free courses can contact TCC on 00220 4396996 for detail.
