An
award winning Gambian entrepreneur and CEO of TAF Africa Global has spoken his
group’s plans to launch an ambitious housing project in the country that will
show the development of 10,000 houses as well as a development business park.
Mustapha
Njie alias TAF was speaking on Wednesday during the 3rd TAF Gambia Annual
Networking and Conference at the Coral Beach Hotel, formerly Sheraton Beach
Hotel.
He
outlined that the move is part of their four new projects, some of which are
already signed with the Gambia government, further acknowledging that housing
is a basic human need.
“I have travelled to over 36 countries across
Africa over the past ten years and most of the times being invited by heads of
state or ministers of Housing in trying to address the big housing deficit in
Africa. So last year, we launched our vision to develop one million homes
across sub-Saharan Africa and we are going to start in Nigeria,” based on their
success stories in that country.
But
as, he puts it, charity begins at home and owing it to the fact that he is now
back in the Smiling Coast of Africa, further hinting that all these projects
are about 500M Dollars over the next ten years.
