Solomon, a Switzerland based reggae artiste has released a new song called ‘You
never know’ featuring King Kora, a Gambian artiste based in Swiss and Sambou
Susso following his visit to the Gambia.
El Jah told journalists that the project came when King Kora approached and explained the concept of the song to him and he feels it interesting and they decided to produce the song.
“I am currently in The Gambia to promote the song video which was prepared in The Gambia. The video is appreciated by many Gambians because of its cultural aspect and involvement of Gambian artistes like King Kora and Sambou Susso,” he said, adding that he is hoping for more collaboration with Gambian artists in future.
Singing and performing were his main passion since he was a child. He made his successful debut in 2007 with the album “Beweg Di”. The singles “Gib mer meh” and “Las bliebe” were in rotation on various national radio and TV stations. Moreover, “Sie isch wäg” became his most-viewed video with 500,000 views on Youtube. The album sold more than 6,000 copies in Switzerland and Germany and paved the way for a successful career.
In 2008, Elijah won the “Best European Newcomer” award at the European Reggae Contest in Italy. Subsequently, he toured Europe, Africa and Central America with his first album during three years, with more than 200 concerts around the world. A further milestone was the release of the self-produced sampler “Neutrality” in 2009. Also a producer, Elijah released “Beweg Di-Outernational” on the German market the same year.
In 2010, he released the single “Do Good In Life” which was sang in English and garnered airplay in Jamaica as well as on several international radio stations.
Inspired by different cultures, languages and rhythms, Elijah will live in Jamaica, Senegal and Switzerland during the next three years, working on the creation and production of new music.
Building on the success of his debut album, Elijah released his second album “Eat Ripe Fruit” in 2014. The album was released in Switzerland via the label “One Camp” that he had founded in the same year.

video produced in Senegal.
In February 2016, a dub remixes of the album “Eat Ripe Fruit” will be released under the title “Dub Ripe Fruit”. The eight songs were arranged in London in collaboration with the Jamaican band Raging Fyah and Joe Ariwa, the son of dub and reggae legend Mad Professor. They will be available on a two-disc deluxe version of Elijah’s second album featuring both “Eat Ripe Fruit” and “Dub Ripe Fruit”
