underscored the role of security personnel in the development of any country,
saying supporting security is dear to
Modou Turo Darboe was speaking recently during a meeting with a delegation comprising police high command from the West Coast Region at his Fajara resident. The purpose of the visit to his resident is to solicit support in term of office equipment such as computers, printers, photocopiers, among others to keep their confidential files.
Responding to their request, Mr. Darboe underscored the role played by security personnel in any nation, saying supporting security is of paramount importance as ‘without security even the philanthropist cannot give support to humanity’.
To this end, he maintained that he will not compromise supporting security to ensure that they are comfortable in their operations especially at their various stations.
He equally promised that through his foundation he would do everything possible to support the security to better help them in the dispensation of their duties.
described the request as very genuine, further promising that he would continue
to support the welfare of the security in the country.
In a separate engagement, the community of Niani district, Central River Region led by Chief Pierre Bah also awarded certificate of appreciation to Mr. Modou Turo Darboe in recognition of his outstanding support to the said community.
Presenting the certificate, Chief Pierre Bah commended Mr. Darboe for his usual support not only to his community, but to entire humanity.
He described Mr. Darboe as a champion and pacesetter in supporting the poor and needy.
He went on to thank Darboe for what he called his benevolent gesture, and pray that God grant him long life and good health to be able to support humanity.
Similarly, students from the University of The Gambia also visited Modou Turo Darboe to brief him about their upcoming activity. The students, while thanking him for his service to humanity, also expressed appreciation for his philanthropist stance.
