The
2017 Fibank Gambia Limited-sponsored Super Nawettan quarterfinal matches are
set to continue today, Wednesday 25 October 2017 at the Serrekunda East and
Manjai grounds respectively.
As
part of the quarterfinal match, last year’s runners-up Banjul will take on
Sukuta, at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
The
city boys finished top spot in group B with 7 points in three matches,
following their goalless draw with Manjai before defeating Banjul and debutants
Foni 1-0 each and will contend to beat Sukuta to progress to the semifinal.
The
Dembadou boys finished runners-up in group D with 2 points, after their
goalless draw with Serrekunda West and 2-2 draw with BEM and will brawl to
defeat Banjul to advance to the semifinal.
Elsewhere,
BEM will meet Brikama in the other quarterfinal tie at the Father Gough Sports
Complex in Manjai Kunda on the same day.
The
North Bank Region boys finished top spot in group D with 2 points in two games,
after drawing goalless against Serrekunda West and 2 goals apiece with Sukuta
and will eye to whip Brikama to sail to the semifinal.
The
Sateyba boys finished second-spot in group B with 6 points in three matches,
following their 1-0 wins over debutants Foni and Manjai, after losing to Banjul
1-0 in their second group match and will aim to spank BEM to sail to the
semifinal.
