international Sulayman Marreh has signed a season-loan deal with Belgium club
Kas Eupen from English Premier league side Watford.
The former Samger prodigy, spent last season on loan at Spanish second tier side Real Valladolid after four seasons with Granada in the Spanish La Liga. Kas Eupen are known for producing exciting young players for bigger clubs in Europe whiles being competitive in the Belgian top flight.
“I heard so many positive feedbacks from close friends in Belgium about Kas Eupen”, said Marreh who has been designated the club’s number 15 shirt.
Capped ten times at second level Marreh was named in national team coach Tom Saintfiet’s first Scorpions squad ahead of their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria next Saturday.
“Belgium is a good place to develop as a young player and it’s a league that always attracts a lot of interest and attention around the world”, the 22-year explained.Sulayman is the latest Gambian player to move ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline day across Europe.
