Gambian striker Bubacarr ‘Steve’ Trawally has scored in his first match for his United Arab Emirati side Ajman during their 1-0 win over Al Wasl in their week-three fixtures of the Arabian Gulf League played at the Shaikh Rashid bin Saeed Stadium on Friday.

The 24-year-old forward scored his side only goal in the 21 minutes of the first half to mark his introduction into the Arabian Gulf League.

The Bundung-born player who moved to the Emirati team Ajman FC on loan from Al Shabab of Saudi Arabia will be hoping to continue from where he stopped after scoring three goals and assisting two after eleven games in the Saudi Pro League.

Steve as he is fondly called has one of his best goal-scoring record in China in the 2017 season after scoring 18 goals in twenty-eight games for Yanbian Fude.

The goal from the Scorpions attacker has helped moved Ajman to third position in the Arabian Gulf League with 7 points, while Al Wasl who collected only a single point in three matches is sitting thirteen positions in the league.

Ajman FC will in their next fixtures play away to Bani Yas on Friday, while Al Wasl will entertain Sharjah on the same day.
