criminal charges against Quassy Mendy, Leon Gomez, Bakary Jammeh, Malafi Jarju,
Ansumana Manga, Yankuba Colley, Lamin Bojang and Mamodou Badjie were recently
withdrawn by the State at the High Court in Banjul, presided over by Justice
Sainabou W. Cisse.
The suspects were indicted with accessory after the fact of murder as they were incarcerated on allegation of burying the late Ebrima Solo Sandeng, the UDP activist believed to have died on the night of April 14th, 2016 at the defunct NIA headquarters in Banjul and later buried at their Tanji complex.
The State law office filed a nolle prosecui in respect of the case in accordance with Section 85 (1) © of the Constitution and Section 64 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
