staff of the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation (SSHFC), have
returned to work on Monday, after a successful dialogue between the staff
representatives and the authorities at a meeting held at State House.
It could recall that the staff of the corporation last embarked on a sit-down strike demanding the immediate resignation of their managing director Mohammed Manjang.
In an interview with The Point Newspaper, Momodou Camara, a chartered accountant, who also doubles as the staff representative at the board of directors, said that the management of corporation has decided to resume work on full throttles after a successful dialogue.
“We have decided to resume work on full throttles after a successful meeting at State House between staff representatives and the authorities,” he said
According to him, the staff petition against the Managing Director would be subjected to an independent arbitrator and whose recommendations will be implemented
