The trio was suspended following instruction and recommendation of the National Assembly Select Committee on Youth and Sports on the outcome of the investigation into alleged tax fraud involving the officials of GFF and legal advice from Ministry of Justice, pursuant to the Section 16 of the National Sports Council Act 2000.
However, to avert any repercussions to the act of government intervention in football, the government swiftly reacted to rescind this decision.
