The AGM will be held at the GNOC Hall on Bertil Herding Highway just adjacent to the IEC head office.

During the AGM, the assistant secretary general, Alieu Ceesay, and treasurer, Namory Trawally, will present their reports for the year under review for members’ approval and also to reflect on the progress registered and the challenges faced during the past 12 months with a view to map out the way forward for the association.

“It is only bona fide members who have the right to vote and be voted for, but non-registered sports journalists can attend the AGM as observers. All media houses have equal voting right [one vote for each media house,” said Assistant S.G. Ceesay.

The media houses eligible to vote, Ceesay added, are Afriradio, Capital FM, FMB Brikama, City Limits, Paradise FM, Hot FM, Star FM, Unique FM, Vibes FM, West Coast Radio, GRTS TV, Observer Newspaper, The Point, Standard Newspaper, The City Venture, Inside The Game, Foroyaa, Kora FM, Terranga FM, GRTS Radio, and KICK OFF Newspaper.

The current executive body was elected into office on 6 September 2014 at an elective congress to serve for the next four years.
