Spanish non-profit company to promote Gambia’s beauty

A Spanish non-profit company whose initial purpose was to know The Gambia is ready to promote Gambia’s beauty by introducing a competition called ‘Beauty of Gambia’.

According to Halifa Fanta Camara, the head of Gambia team ‘Beauty of Gambia’ stated that the company wants to promote Gambian artists as musicians, models, craftsmen, painters, fashion designers and more.

“We are also going to promote hotels, beaches, restaurants, bars, places of entertainment and many other beautiful things to see in The Gambia,” he said.

He said the initiative will be something good for the promotion of the tourism sector of the country. “Our purpose is to promote Gambia worldwide so we have people working with us in Germany, France and Italy and we will continue to expand,” he added.

He stated that their first project is directed to the young Gambian boys and girls who would like to be models, saying “we are looking for those who always wanted to be in the fashion industry.”

He said there will be a contest with 100 participants who will send us their best photos, he said, adding that the photos will participate in a contest where only two will be chosen as winners and will receive the sum of € 1000 each, as well as an advertising contract for a Spanish tourist company.
