Solomon Kanform notches for Sheikh Jamal in Bangladesh League

Gambian international Solomon Kanform has scored for Sheikh Jamal in their 1-1 home draw with Muktijoddha SKC in the week-fourteen fixture of the Bangladesh Premier League played at the Bangladesh Army Stadium on Thursday.

The former Gambia Armed Forces attacker gave Sheikh Jamal the lead in the 18th minute from a fine header before Japanese midfielder Yusuke Kato level matters for Muktijoddha SKC in the 34th minute of the game to share the spoils.

The 20-year-old joined the Yellow Fear club in 2017 from Gambia Armed Forces and continued his impressive goal form in the league campaign.

Sheikh Jamal are currently occupying eighth position in the standings with 15 points and one point behind Muktijoddha SKC, who are sitting seventh-place with 16 points.

The Dhanmondi-based club will now play away to Rahmatgonj MFS in their next league match on Wednesday while Muktijoddha SKC will play at home to Abahani on Thursday.
