Social Security staff demand MD’s resignation

More than 240 staff of the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation (SSHFC), have signed a petition demanding the resignation of their managing director (MD), Mouhammed Manjang, The Point has been informed.

The signed paper dubbed ‘Vote of No-Confidence’ against Mr. Manjang and seen by The Point cited lot of irregularities they claimed are happening at the SSHFC. Our reporter who saw the petition’s copy said it was signed by staff of various departments within the institution.

The petition is being copied to the National Assembly’s Public Accounts and Public Enterprises committees (PAC/PEC) chairman, the pensioners’ representative, Ministry of Finance and Ombudsman among other relevant institutions in the country.
