SK Utd thrashes Lions of Banjul to keep survival ambitions alive

Relegation threatened Serrekunda United has thrashed Lions of Banjul 3-0 in the week-sixteen fixture played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium to keep their second division survival hopes alive.

The Serrekunda-based football club made an admirable start to the second tier season after winning their two opening matches but thereafter slumped throughout the first round. They occupyed bottom -place with 12 points prior to their game with Lions of Banjul.

Serrekunda United are still languishing bottom-place in the second tier after sixteen league matches.

Lions of Banjul have secured 16 points in sixteen league matches.

Wallidan defeated Kexx United 1-0 at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium and Latrikunda United lost to BK Milan 2-1 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Gunjur United drew 1-1 with Immigration in the other week-sixteen fixture played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Wallidan are still topping the second tier with 28 points after sixteen league matches and BK Milan with 25 points in sixteen league matches.

 Kexx United with 22 points in fifteen league matches with a game in hand against Brufut United.

Gunjur United have snatched 20 points in sixteen league outings and Lions of Banjul bagged 16 points after sixteen league matches.          

Latrikunda United and Immigration grasped 15 points each after sixteen league matches.
