Journalists Association of The Gambia (SJAG) will today leave Banjul for
Senegalese capital Dakar prior to their return international friendly match
against the Senegalese Sports Journalists Association (ANPS).
The sports journalists’ team will be travelling to Senegal on the invitation of their Senegalese counterparts as part of their annual sports awards night.
The ANPS team came to The Gambia in April and defeated Gambian Sports Journalists 1-0 which also coincided with the SJAG awards night.
Head coach of the SJAG team Mariama Bojang has assembled a formidable squad to face the Senegalese sports journalists in the return-leg match slated for tomorrow Friday 14 December at the complex Sportif Dakar Sacre-Coeur at 5pm.
Utman Jeng is the head of delegation, Kaddy Cham as technical Director, Pa Barrow as assistant coach, Omar Jarju as trainer, Lamin Del Fadera as team doctor, Binta Bah as physio and Sally Jeng as kits manager.
Head coach Mariama Bojang said her team has been preparing for the encounter for over two weeks, noting that her team prepared well this time for tough clash against the Senegalese sports journalists.
Bojang promised all Gambian fans that her side will secure victory in Dakar in their return-leg international fixture with the Senegalese sports journalists.
