Sheikh Abdourahman Nyass meets President Barrow

Sheikh Abdourahman Nyass, son of Sheikh Ebrahim Nyass last Friday paid a courtesy call on President Adama Barrow on the eve of the annual Nema Nasir international Gamo.

President Barrow granted audience to Sheikh Abdourahman Nyass who is head of the Nyassen family of Nema Nasir at State House in Banjul where they discussed issues such as the life of Sheikh Ebrahim Nyass. Sheikh Abdourahman Nyass extended the family’s invitation to President Barrow to attend the annual Gamo of Nema Nasir that was held last Saturday.

Sheikh Abdourahman Nyass also told President Barrow that if he helped Nema Nasir, founded by his late brother Muhammad Nasir Nyass, he has helped Medina Bai, Kaolack.

President Barrow, who was represented by his agriculture minister Omar Jallow at the annual international Gamo, described Nema Nasir as a pride of the nation.

Sheikh Abdourahman Nyass has sponsored the construction of a building complex, which contains a hall and a guesthouse at Nema Nasir. He laid the foundation stone of the complex during the annual international Gamo.
