East Sport Development Organisation (SESDO) Saturday held their Annual General
Meeting (AGM) at the Semega Janneh Hall in Latrikunda.
The annual activity and financial reports covering the period of eight months was presented to delegates for review and adoption.
The AGM also highlighted the committee’s major activities including achievements and constraints.
In his welcoming remarks, Modou O. Njie widely known as M.O. Njie said the gathering is in line with the dictates of the Organisation’s constitution, noting that the committee has promised to uphold and respect and to enhance accountability, transparency and productivity in Serrekunda East.
Mr. Njie added that it is an opportune time to renew the pledge in order to seek support in executions of the challenging assignments.
He further stated the gathering is to report and discuss the successes and problems of the last season, adding that with mutual interest with SESDO delegates from all sporting disciplines.
He reminded delegates that it was the first AGM since they took office as a committee following the unfortunate impasse between the previous committee and team representatives last year.
Secretary General Nyawuri Comma revealed that their committee was selected by the teams last year to run the affairs of all sporting activities in Serrekunda East for the next four years.
He added that the associations operate with the mandate of full guidance of the SESDO constitution.
He further revealed that the committee started with the Nawettan qualifiers with 24 teams and each team paid D5, 000 as a registration fee to organize and fund Nawettan last year.
