Serrekunda United slip to BK Milan in GFF 2nd Division

Relegated side Serrekunda United on Wednesday slipped to BK Milan 3-0 in the week-five fixture of the 2017-2018 Gambia Football Federation second division fixture played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Serrekunda United lost to Samger 2-1 prior to their Wednesday’s meeting with BK Milan, who drew 1-1 with Red Hawks.

Serrekunda United came for the maximum points to close gap on the team on top of the summit, but Baboucarr Jammeh’s hat-trick for BK Milan denied them the vital three points.

The defeat was Serrekunda United’s second successive defeat in the second tier and so has bagged 6 points in four league matches with a game in hand against Waa Banjul.

BK Milan now has 8 points in five league matches.

Brufut United beat struggling Serrekunda East Bi side 1-0 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Brufut United have 11 points in five league matches and Serrekunda East Bi are struggling in the red zone with only 3 points in five league matches.

Elsewhere, Waa Banjul drew goalless with Gunjur United in the other week-five fixture played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on the same day.

Gunjur United have 5 points in five league matches and Waa Banjul are languishing in the relegation zone with 3 points in four games with a game in hand against Serrekunda United.
