Senegalese senior national team; the Teranga Lions are eyeing for their debut Africa Cup of Nations title when they clash with the Desert Foxes of Algeria in the continent’s biggest football fiesta final today in Cairo, at 7pm.

The team under the guidance of former coach Bruno Metsu slipped to Cameroon on penalties in the 2002 Africa Cup of Nations final in Mali, after the regulation time ended goalless.

Coach Aliou Cisse and his Teranga Lions will strive to thump Algeria in the final to secure their first-ever Africa Cup of Nations title since its inception in 1957.

It would be recalled that Senegal slipped to Algeria 1-0 in the group phase of the bi-annual championship prior to today’s final showdown.
