Senegal Double Tyson defeats Gambian Sai Sai in Saturday bout

The undefeated Senegalese Kaolack-based wrestler, Double Tyson Saturday continued his fine unbeaten run in The Gambian wrestling arena after defeating Sai Sai of Serekunda-Mbollo Wrestling club in a much-awaited fight at the Qcity football field in Brusubi.

The fight that lasted for less than two (2) minutes before the Senegalese wrestler beat the Gambian fighter, left many wrestling followers disappointed after hearing the promises made by their Gambian wrestler Sai Sai during the face-to-face (war of words).

The bout was organised by Omar Burr Touray, CEO of Burr Promotion and others in collaboration with BMG Properties and QTV. It  attracted hundreds of Gambian wrestling fans.

This fight was named after Ebrima Ceesay, Secretary to the Cabinet of Adama Barrow government.

Prior to the nail biting fight, the Senegalese wrestler made 16 fights and losing only one, including two consecutive victories in The Gambia, while Gambian Sai Sai now made five fights and conceded only one defeat which came on Saturday.

Both wrestlers made a strong promises words for their fans during their face-to-face in which Sai Sai promised victory to his fans saying that he was going to come all out to end the unbeaten run of the Senegalese wrestler, while the Senegalese wrestler Double Tyson said that the fight would not take much time if he get hold of Sai Sai.

He added that ‘I will come all out to fight you and will beat you down. I know you very well. You are not a good fighter,” ‘Sai Sai’ said in a clear quarry.

This fight that has been in the people calendar for months, has now seen the Senegalese wrestler Double Tyson have a very strong name in the country’s wrestling arena.

Shortly after his victory, Double Tyson said that to him this was never a difficult bout to him, noting that he has more technique, power and fitness than his opponent Sai Sai.  He added that he now needs Gambian wrestlers at the top, while dedicating the victory to all his Gambian fans.
