In less than a week after giving out 168 rams to the needy in observance of the Muslim feast of Eid-al-Adha, commonly known as 'Tobaski', businessman cum Philanthropist Momodou Turo Darboe has yet extended another benevolent gesture to the Gambia Police Force by donating ten packets of corrugated iron sheets and 500kg of nails.

The donation, which took place Friday at the Police headquarters in Banjul, is meant for the renovation of the Police Intervention Unit (PIU) camp located at Yoroberri Kunda in the Central River Region.

Described as a true friend of the police, the police image-maker Inspector Sulayman Secka expressed the police force's gratitude to Mr Darboe, saying he has been helping for the past years. "He is a good friend of the police", says PRO Secka.

Inspector Secka cited as example, the renovation of the Bundung Police station and a host of others that Mr Darboe has extended a helping hand. According to Mr Momodou Turo Darboe, it is the business of everyone to join hands together in the development of not only the police but the security as a whole.
