Seaview FC suffer another upset

The Gambia Football Association (GFA) premier league strugglers Seaview FC has suffered yet another set back, following their 3-1 defeat in the hands of Samger  Sunday’s  Week Thirteen of the GFA Division League Championship at the Brikama Mini-stadium.

Seaview, FC who are at the bottom of the league table with 9 points in thirteen games started the game brilliantly and made some spectacular goal scoring attempts, but squandered all their opportunities.

Lamin Sarjo Samateh opened the scores for Samger in the 10th minute from a clinical finished through Ousman Jallow’s cross to make it 1-0 for Academy boys.

Seaview FC fought back and put pressured on Samger defence line and their efforts paid dividend in the 38th minute when midfielder Mamu Saine leveled the score.

Samger extend their lead to 3-1 in the 50th and 66th minutes of the game, when former U-17 striker Buba Jallow, alias Melez and Ousman Jallow netted the second and third goals, respectively.

Samger now stands at 20 points in thirteen matches.

Seaview FC only managed to collect 9 points.

Also, on Sunday matches, Bakau United defeated defending champions Armed Forces 1-0 at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.

Amadou Baldeh registered Bakau United lone in the 54th minute after capitalising on Armed Forces defensive blunders.
