Sami NAM Donates Football Gear

The National Assemble Member for Sami Constituency, Hon. Lamin Ceesay, over the weekend donated football jerseys, football training kits and footballs worth thousands of Dalasis in a ceremony held at his home village Jarumeh Koto in Sami District CRR North.

Speaking to Pointsports, the NAM for Sami constituency said the donation came through his brother Dr Abdou Karim Ceesay.

According to Hon. Ceesay, the purpose of the donation is to improve and develop football at the grass roots level. Hon Ceesay used the opportunity to thank his brother for the good intervention in making these materials available.

For his part, Dr Abdou Karim Ceesay dilated on the importance of sports. He emphasised that a sport is an income-generating career. Furthermore, Dr Ceesay encouraged the youth of the area to venture into sports.

In receiving the donated items on behalf of the beneficiaries, Master Camara hailed the donor for his benevolent gesture. Master Camara further urged the beneficiaries to make best use of the donated items.

The beneficiaries included Jamally Torro, Kibiri, Dobo, Tabanani and Karantaba.
