side Samger have suffered yet another set-back in the 2017-2018 Gambia Football
Federation second division, after their 3-0 defeat to Red Hawks, in the
week-one fixtures played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium on Wednesday.
Red Hawks and Samger were both beaten in their opening league matches before their Wednesday week-two meeting.
Red Hawks lost to the newly-promoted side Latrikunda United 1-0 and Samger also lost to Kexx United by the same score line.
Both sides came into the game with the motive of bagging the maximum points to recover in the second tier, after losing their opening league fixtures last week.
Red Hawks secured the vital three points, after netting three solid goals to bag their first big win in their second division league season.
The defeat was Samger’s second successive defeat in the new second division league season, after losing to Kexx United 1-0 in their opening league fixtures last weekend.
Elsewhere, demoted side Serrekunda United beat newly-promoted side Latrikunda United at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on the same day.
Serrekunda United are now top the second tier standings with maximum 6 points, after winning their two opening league fixtures.
Samger are still languishing bottom-place in the second tier with zero point, after losing their two opening matches.
