Samger continue to fail in the 2018-2019 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) domestic division one league after losing to Banjul United 1-0 in the week twenty-four match played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Wednesday.

The Academy boys were struggling second-place from bottom in the country’s top-flight league table before locking horns with the Banjul-based team. They needed a win to move away from red zone but slipped to Banjul United 1-0 to remain in the relegation zone.

The Banjul-based team was one place above safety in the country’s premier tier standings and also needed a victory to improve their position in the league.

They fired home one goal without Samger reacting to collect another vital three points to increase their chances of staying in the top flight league next season.

Banjul United now snatched 24 points in twenty-four league games and Samger with 18 points in twenty-four league outings.
