Saloum Faal’s Finnis side wins Kakkosen Suomen Cup

Gambian professional attacker, Saloum Faal and his Finnish football club IF Gnistan has won the Finland Kakkosen Suomen Cup, after defeating JS Hercules 1-0 in the final in a game played at Mustapekka Areena on Saturday.

Gullit Zolameso scored the only goal in the game for IF Gnistan in the 15th minute to be crowned champions of the Finnish Men’s Kakkonen cup final.

Faal, who signed for Gnistan in August 2018 after leaving FC Kiffen has now collected six gold medals under his name.

 The 23-year-old former Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) and Casa Sports expressed delight after his side winning the Finnish Men’s Kakkonen cup, noting that the Suomen Cup will serve as a moral boost to encourage them for more success.

He added that their target this season is to gain promotion, saying they are relatively comfortable on the top of the standings with four points lead.

IF Gnistan FC is currently the Finnish Kakkonen (Third Division League) with 18 points after playing seven games
