Salikenni health center receives €3000 medical aid

A Spanish based Gambian Kaddy Samateh fondly called Caricad last Saturday donated medicines and medical assortments worth 3000 Euros to Salikenni health center in North Bank Region.

 Speaking at the presentation on behalf of the community’s Alkalo, Alhagie Baba Dibba said they are appreciative of the gesture and appealed to other individuals to emulate Kaddy in supporting the health center.

Chairman of Salikenni Njenjulukilin Gambia chapter Omar Jarju emphasized the need for unity among the people of the community and urged the officer in charge of the health facility to ensure that the medical items are put to good use.

 He said the Njenjulukilin initiative targets to create a platform for the people of Salikenni to support, contribute and help anytime necessary.

 Ghulam Ahmad Trawally, head of Salikenni IT Department Future who facilitated the assistance said he hoped the medicine will be equitably delivered to patients per demand. He strongly emphasised that the community must respect medical officers on duty and to follow the prescribed procedures in place.

Secretary General of Salikenni Njenjulukilin Association Buba Saho thanked Kaddy for her humanitarian support, saying the medicines would help the community in the mitigation of Malaria and other diseases that affect them. 

Chairman of the village development committee Sana Kanteh advised community members to closely work with the nurses towards the development of the health center.
