much-awaited fight between the Serrekunda-based wrestler Sai Sai of
Serekunda-Mbollo Wrestling club and Senegal’s Kaolack-based Double Tyson is set
to take place this Saturday, 1st December at the QCity football field in
The two wrestlers’ fight has been the talk of town since they had their face-to-face (war-of-words) on 6th November at the Qcity Olympic Swimming Pool. The grand combat is named after Ebrima Ceesay, Secretary to the Cabinet of Adama Barrow government.
During the face-to-face, Sai Sai promised his fans a victory against Double Tyson, saying, ‘I will come all out to fight you and will beat you down. I know you very well. You are not a good fighter.”
The Senegalese wrestler Double Tyson fired back saying: “I know you very well including your people. You were in Senegal and can’t make it there; so you decided to run to The Gambia.”
Expectation are coming high from both fans after their war-of-words ahead of the fight. The fight is organised by Omar Burr Touray, CEO of Burr Promotion and others in collaboration with BMG Properties and QTV.
The fight is expected to be Double Tyson’s second arena bout in The Gambia, as his first fight ended with an excellent win over African Noir of The Gambia Armed Forces wrestling club.
On the other hand, Gambian wrestler Sai Sai is undefeated after securing four wins in four fights while Double Tyson made 16 fights losing only one.
Meanwhile, this would be the first time Qcell football field will be hosting a major spectacular event since it was inaugurated.
