Finance controller Fabakary Fadera highlighted the importance his Federation attached towards education, saying the support is meant to facilitate beneficiary students’ timely arrival to school and punctuality during lessons. He hailed ChildFund-The Gambia for providing support to help improve the academic performance of students.
Board chairman Tijan Jarju expressed gratitude for the federation’s support to the children, who he described as future leaders of the country. “This gift will go a long way in addressing the beneficiaries’ lateness to school.”
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiary families, Sarata Sanyang thanked the Federation for the gesture, saying that the bicycles will go a long way in helping their children who trek for long distances to go to school.
The Federation’s programme and sponsorship coordinator Karamo Jatta stressed that the bicycles are meant for school children and not for parents to use them for their domestic needs.
