Rotary Club of Royden Revolve of UK, in partnership with the Rotary Club of
Fajara and the local communities in Old Yundum recently inaugurated a new
classroom block at Bright Star Nursery School at Old Yundum village in Kombo
North of the West Coast Region.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the head girl of Bright Star Nursery and Primary School, said the day witnessed the inauguration of the classroom block constructed by their friends in the UK.
She, on behalf of the school management, staff and pupils, thanked the donors for their kind gesture, saying Bright Star School would continue to be brighter.
For his part, the assistant district governor, Minyang Jobe, thanked the donors for their selfless effort in supporting the Bright Star Nursery School.
He also thanked the management of the school for utilising most of the items provided to their school, and revealed his impression about the outstanding performance of students and urged them to continue.
According to him, having this type of classroom block was very timely and urged the management of the school to take greater care of the project.
In her vote of thanks, the headmistress of Bright Star School, Betty Gomez, expressed joy and appreciation over the inauguration of the new classroom block, describing the move as very timely.
She also thanked the Rotary Club of Fajara and their counterpart in the UK for the magnificent gesture.
