Scorpion Women Football Club in collaboration with Bundaskids Foundation will
be organising a two day football skills clinic and festival for young girls at
the age of 8 to 13 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
Bundaskids is a charity organisation that engaged in supporting youth by bringing hope and resources to Gambian youth through football and school programs.
They donated books, schools supplies and football items to communities and schools.
The skills clinic and football festival is set for 9 to 10 February at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium featuring 50 kids commencing at 9am to 12.30pm.
The skills clinic and football festival is strive to develop and nurture young girls in football and also promote grassroots football in the country by creating football opportunities through festivals and competition for youth players coaches and referees.
The event also aimed at developing girls and women football in the Gambia.
Reasons for organising coaching clinic and Girls football festival are to encourage young girls participate in playing Football; to accelerate the participation of girls and Women in grassroots Football; to raise the awareness of the Public on the importance of Women Football and the benefits it derive; and to also educate and inform the participants about the importance of Education hence there is life after the game.
