Red Scorpion dismantles FutureBi in women Division 1 league opener

The 2016 -17 second division league champions Red Scorpion over the weekend hammered Future Bi 7-0 in the 2017/18 Gambia Football Federation women league one opener played at the FIFA goal project in Yundum.

Ola Buwaro, broke the deadlock for Red Scorpion in the 13th minute of game from a superb finish to give her side a promising start into the game. Shortly after her goal, Anta Secka doubled the advantage in the 14th minute of the game.

Moments later the Gambia women’s league all-time leading goal scorer Adama Tama fired  a hat-trick in the 17th, 48th and 57th minutes respectively, before an own goal from the Future backline.

Substitute Kumba Kuyateh fired home the 7th goal of the game in the 63rd minute to hand her side a convincing win and put the game beyond reach.

Meanwhile, on Saturday 18 November 2017, Immigration beat Armed forces 1-0 in the all security derby at the FIFA goal project.

Elsewhere in the second division league, City Girls beat Brikama United 1-0 in the early kick-off encounter on the same day and venue.
