Real De Banjul furious to spank GPA to revive lead in GFF 1st domestic league

Real De Banjul are anxious to wallop current league champions Gambia Ports Authority in the week-eleven fixtures on Sunday 5 February 2017, at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium to rejuvenate their lead in the 2016-2017 Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league.

The City boys lost to second-place Gambia Armed Forces 2-0 in the week-ten fixtures played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium at the weekend. They are now eager to humiliate Gambia Ports Authority to extend their lead in the summit.

The ferry boys, on the other hand, will be nervous to defeat Real De Banjul to bounce back to maintain their hopes of retaining their 2015-2016 domestic division one league crown.

The newly-promoted side Tallinding United will play against Gamtel at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

The Tallinding-based outfit are 4th place in the league with 13 points in eight league games, and will be ambitious to trounce Gamtel to pile pressure on teams above them in the league.

Gamtel are rock-bottom in the top flight with 5 points in eight league matches, and will vie to out muscle Tallinding United to move away from the danger zone.

Elsewhere, Serrekunda United will clash with Brikama United at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

The Serrekunda-based outfit are mid-table in the top flight with 9 points and would be prepared to stun Brikama United to improve their position in the league.

Brikama United are also mid-table in the top flight with 9 points in eight league games, and will be hoping to beat Serrekunda United to recover and also maintain their league title aspirations alive.

On Saturday 4 February 2017, Hawks will welcome the newly-promoted side Marimoo at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium. The red devils are with 12 points in eight league matches and will fight to conquer to maintain their league title ambitions aslive.

The Manjai-based outfit are third place in the top league with 16 points in eight league games.

To top the league, they will compete to pound Hawks and hope league leaders Real De Banjul and second-place Gambia Armed Forces slip to Gambia Ports Authority and Steve Biko in their respective fixtures.

Bakau giant killers Steve Biko will take on Gambia Armed Forces at the Independence Stadium in Bakau. The Bakau giant killers are second-place from bottom in the top flight with 6 points in eight league matches.

They will challenge to beat Gambia Armed Forces and move away from the danger zone.

The Soldiers are second-place in the top flight with 17 points in eight league games, and will make all efforts to defeat Steve Biko and hope Real De Banjul slip to Gambia Ports Authority to top the league.

Elsewhere, Samger will meet Bombada at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

The academy boys are two places above relegation zone in the top flight with 9 points in eight league matches, and will riot to beat Bombada to improve their position in the league.

The Brikama-based outfit are one place above safety in the top flight with 6 points in eight league matches, and will hunt to beat Samger to improve their position in the league.
