Cup champions, Real de Banjul have earned their first win in the Late Omar Sey
Memorial football tournament after defeating Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) 2-0
in a game played at the Independence Stadium on Sunday.
Ebrima Jatta opened the scoring for the champions with a fine header in the 60th minute, just before Pa Omar Sohna’s close range finisher in the 65th minute of the second half.
The Ferry boys came into the second half needing to open the scoring with the aim of extending their points in the competition.
Also at the Brikama Box Bar Mini-Stadium, Hawks FC beat Fortune 4-0 in the other group A encounter of the tournament while Real de Banjul now collect 4 points leveling with Fortune FC after three matches.
