De Banjul and Wallidan are maintaining their rivalry in the ongoing Gambia
Football Federation (GFF) domestic division one league campaign when they
clashed at the Banjul KG5 mini Stadium on Saturday.
The City-boys beat the blue boys 3-0 in a tightly contested encounter which boosted Real De Banjul’s league title ambitions following their goalless with league leaders Gambia Armed Forces in the mid-week fixture.
The defeat scurry Wallidan’s chances of clinching their first league title since the 2007-2008 season after losing to arch-rivals Real De Banjul.
Real De Banjul carried all three points after netting three goals without Wallidan responding to pile on league leaders Gambia Armed Forces and second-place Brikama United who came from behind to draw 2-2 with defending league champions Gamtel at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.
Samger were held to a goalless draw by PSV Wellingara at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on the same day.
