Queen Scorpions up for dual int’l match with Mali

Gambia National Women team are currently bracing up for a double international clash against Mali’s Women national team today as part of their preparation for the Continent’s Women biggest football jamboree qualifiers.

The Queen Scorpions will play against Women Eagles in their first international friendly match today at the Independence Stadium in Bakau before their second encounter on Saturday 19 May at the same venue.

The Gambia will use the double international friendlies to prepare for the 2019 Africa Women cup of Nations qualifiers at home to Nigeria next month in Banjul.

The Queen Scorpions eliminated Burkina Faso in the first round of the qualifiers after beating them 4-3 on post match penalty shoot following their 2-2 aggregate in both legs of the qualifiers.

Coach Mariama Sowe and her technical department will use both international matches against Mali to train for their clash with Nigeria next month in Banjul.
