PFG celebrates International Women’s Day

Members of a non-governmental organisation who call themselves Prospect For Girls (PFG) recently celebrated International Women’s Day with students from various schools at American corner, Kairaba Avenue under the theme: Gambia skilled woman. The organisation aimed at encouraging vocational skills through training and mentorship.

Founder Kujeh Kah said their objective is to promote and encourage youth to live their dreams and implement what they can do best.

She stated that PFG recently launched a new project call “my period, my pride” and the project would be launched to train young girls on skills that creates opportunities for them, which she urge young girls to apply.

Ndey Fatou Njie, founder of Tiga Creations said people must face challenges to become entrepreneurs, saying people must not only talk about women empowerment but they should also advocate it. “When you have a vision, do not allow anyone to discourage you.”

Ya Awa Conteh, CEO and founder of Yaws Creation said she established her business in 2007, starting with meagre money.
