Pa Omar Jobe wins Senegalese Ligue 1 golden boot

Gambian striker, Pa Omar Jobe have won the Senegalese Golden boot award after becoming the top scorer of the Senegalese Champion at -First Division leading goal-scorer with 12 goals on Saturday.

The 20-year-old scored a brace for his Ndiambour FC side in their 4-4 final league draw against Teungueth to clinch the prize after going above Generation Foot striker Jean Barthélémy Diouf who scored 11 goals.

Since joining from Real De Banjul in 2017, Jobe has helped his side to come from behind twice to salvage a point during their final league game against Teungueth.

For the three seasons now, the leading goal-scorer award has been away from Generation Foot, who has been consistent in winning the prize by their striker Jean Barthélémy Diouf.

The Scorpions U-23 striker has helped his side to ninth position with 32 points in the Senegalese Ligue 1, while Teungueth finished sixth on the table with 36 points.

As the Senegalese Ligue 1 season concludes on Saturday, in overall, Gambian players in the league scored 39 goals amongst them is Madi Fatty of Teungueth who scored seven league goals and Yaya Kujabi of Stade de Mbour
