Jammeh, the former deputy minister of Agriculture has been appointed permanent
secretary No 1 at the said ministry; The Point has been reliably informed.
Mr. Jammeh, a veteran agriculturalist’s appointment came into effect on the 15 December 2017. He replaces Sait Drammeh, the former PS No 1 whose contract has phased out.
When contacted to shed light over his appointment, Mr. Jammeh confirmed that he received his appointment letter from the Personnel Management Office and has accepted the appointment, saying now: “I am the new Agriculture PS one.”
Mr. Jammeh, a staunch agriculturalist had been arrested and detained for one year three months and seven days during the former government. He was later released by the new government.
