Ouslor United FC Win New Yundum League Title

Ouslor FC were on Sunday crowned champions of this year's New Yundum Nawettan League Championship organized by Yundum Youth and Sports Committee.

Sponsored by Mr. Terenmang Dahaba of The Gambia Football Association, the tournament is meant to improve and held develop football in New Yundum and surrounding areas.

They defeated Sanchaba United FC 5-4 in a penalty shoot out following a well fought final encounter played at Yundum Football Field. After the 90 minutes of normal time the score was 1-1.

Ouslor United FC open the scoring in the 4th minute of the game courtesy of Mustapha Manneh and Sanchaba United FC leveled in the 62nd minute of the game through striker Ousman Bojang. This pushed match to a post match penalty shoot out ended 5-4 in favour of Ouslor United FC.

As the champions, Ouslor United FC were awarded the championship trophy and a cash prize of D3,500. Sanchaba United FC went home with D3,000 as the runners-up.
