FIRST PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA

HIS FIRST ADDRESS AT THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLES, IN NEW YORK

Mr. President, Distinguish Delegates,Ghana Independence is meaningless until it is linked up with the total liberation of the entire continent.

If a single foot of African Soil remains under foreign domination, the world shall know no peace. if a single foot of African soil remains under colonial yoke, these will be strife and conflict. these are the elementally facts of life in Africa today, no man willed the situation, and no man can slim the tide or direct the wind of change. Weeder violence and deplore it. We are devoted to non-violent positive action. Experience has shown that when change is too long delayed, or storbony resisted violence will erupt, not because men planned it or willed it, but because the accumulated grievous of the past, erupt with vocalic fury.

Why Africa is like a question mark? because of the many problems in here but one day Africa would turn to be an exclamation mark! And Madagascar would be the dot what he did good for outweighs his errors. He was good and sincere in his guest for a great Africa and Ghana. He was indeed the greatest African.

When South Africa applied to the United Nations general assembly to become a member, but because of its apartheid regime, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah wants to New York to address the United Nations general assembly. He said Mr. President, Shr. Secretary General, distinguish delegates” to vote South Africa in is to vote Ghana Out. Thank you Mr. President.

Speech delivered at the Accra Harbour, welcoming the British Governor General. By Dr. Kwame Nkrumah

Friendship and empire are ill bed fellows. We will not tolerate any ideology of friendship within the empire, until we have been liberated from the polarising grip of imperialism, when friendship can then he equal terms. Your Excellency much lies ahead of you. Your stay with us would be good or bad, as you wish it. Those who think that they can still govern us from No. 10 Downing Street the official residence of the prime minister of Great Britain, is making a sad mistake and it is up to you, to inform and tell them as the man on the spot, that Britain can only henceforth rely on the friendship and co-operation of our beloved Ghana, by the first granting her self-government and independence. Your excellency, welcome to Ghana.
