Servants’ Association of Nyanga Ward in Central River Region have observed
Workers Day in Freedousey, where the region’s deputy governor Omar Sey
highlighted the importance of the day.
“Young people are full of potentials and skills and it is our responsibility to make these young people achieve their highest potential,” he noted.
While assuring the civil servants government’s readiness to address the challenges affecting them, Deputy Governor Sey said coming together provides them the opportunity to remember their achievement and discuss their challenges.
National Assembly Member for Niani Alhagie SB Sillah thanked the Association for their commitment in the constituency, appealing to all the civil servant association in the country to promote peace, unity and bring rapid development and awareness in their working places.
Kadijatou Camara, a teacher at Jallow Kunda lower basic school highlighted the importance of Works Day, saying the celebration will go a long way in cementing the relationship between the Association members.
Chairman of the Association Musa M Sanneh said workers should be respected by all for robust development and urging civil servants to maintain their commitment to national development.
Pierre Bah, chief of Niani district thanked the Association for organising the event and advised the people within the area to be active participants in national development.
