Marcel
Mendy, Executive Director of the National Sports Council, has called on players
to maintain discipline during Real De Banjul fifty-year anniversary celebration
football tournament set for 29 October 2016, at the Independence Stadium in
Bakau.
Mendy
was speaking at the Real De Banjul 50-year anniversary celebration football
draw held yesterday at the Oasis Apartments in Senegambia.
Mendy
appealed to the players to be discipline during the tournament and play to the
best of their ability in order to attract scouts.
Mendy
hailed Real De Banjul for the initiative, saying the tournament is the first of
its kind.
For
his part, Bakary K. Jammeh, the second vice president of Real De Banjul,
thanked their partners and media for their support.
Jammeh
also applauded Real De Banjul coach Frank for his “tireless efforts”.
