The office of the People’s Democratic Organisation for Independence and Socialism (PDOIS) National Assembly Member for Banjul North was over the weekend the beneficiary of office materials by a Norwegian non-governmental organization Action Gambia-Norway.

The materials were delivered to Hon. Ousman Sillah’s office in the presence of his team and members of the Action Gambia-Norway organization.

Head of the Action Gambia-Norway organization Alhagie Jobarteh said the materials were donated to help ease work at the parliamentarian’s office. A native of Banjul South, Mr. Jobarteh said his organization decided to support the Banjul North legislator following the parliamentarian’s request to furnish his office.

He said Action-Gambia Norway is a registered Norwegian organization with majority of their support focusing on schools, institutions and quasi-government with education and sports materials.

Receiving the materials, NAM Ousman Sillah, thanked Action Gambia-Norway for the support, assuring that the materials will go a long way in perfecting work in the office.

He said the organization has been supporting Gambian institutions which have been beneficial to the beneficiaries. He commended the donor and assured that the materials would be wisely utilized.

He also appealed to other two parliamentarians in Banjul South and Central to always engage in discussions with their people on the way forward, stressing discussion on sanitation which he said is key to transform Banjul.

“We will discuss other issues when we meet but I am very grateful to your organization. This set of furniture will go a long way in facilitating our work.”
