New ACCFA president says members capacity-building is his priority

The newly elected president of the Association of Customs Clearing and Forwarding Agents (ACCFA) has unveiled plans to keep the Association moving which will include capacity building of members to enable them to effectively carry out their duties.

At the sidelines of the recently conducted 15th Annual General Meeting of ACCFA at Atlantic Hotel in Banjul, Sulayman M. Joof said they target to facilitate and complement efforts of the Customs in collecting revenue for the Government and provide trade information and promotion, including training of personnel required to operate such services.

Mr. Joof also disclosed that one of his priority is to build the capacity of his association members to become more professional, efficient and effective in their service delivery, saying hopes are high on his new executive in the deliverance of services to members.

He assured that the Association will continue its relationship with relevant partners, including The Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) in a more efficient and legal way, to ensure smooth facilitation of import and export business in the country.
